Gorilla Glue #4 Seeds

GG4 Strain History

Gorilla Glue #4 Seeds—also known as GG4 or Original Glue—belong to one of the most iconic and award-winning cannabis hybrids of the past decade. Developed by GG Strains, this powerhouse cross combines the genetics of Sour Dubb, Chem’s Sister, and Chocolate Diesel. The result is a resin-coated marvel so sticky it literally gave rise to its name—Gorilla Glue—for how it “glues” your fingers and scissors during trimming. The strain took first place at both the Michigan and Los Angeles Cannabis Cups in 2014 and later won the High Times Jamaican World Cup. Today, Gorilla Glue #4 remains a legend among growers and connoisseurs, loved for its sky-high THC, intense aroma, and heavy resin output that defines the entire Glue family lineage.

Cannabinoids

Gorilla Glue #4 is renowned for its staggering potency. THC-A levels consistently test between 27–31%, ranking it among the strongest cannabis strains ever bred. Both CBD and CBG typically remain under 0.2%, meaning this is a strain best suited for experienced users seeking deep relaxation and euphoria rather than a CBD-forward experience. The powerful cannabinoid profile makes GG#4 deeply relaxing and calming, with a notable appetite-stimulating effect. The strain’s sheer THC content has made it a favorite for delivering potent, full-body relaxation.

GG#4 Appearance

Gorilla Glue 4 plants produce dense, chunky buds covered in frosty trichomes that sparkle like crushed glass. Each cola is packed with light green calyxes wrapped in fiery orange pistils and a thick resin coat that makes trimming both rewarding and sticky. As harvest nears, GG4 buds appear snow-dusted from the overwhelming crystal coverage, a signature trait of true Gorilla Glue genetics. This striking look has made the strain a favorite for both display jars and concentrate production.

Flavor & Aroma

Gorilla Glue #4 Seeds produce a deeply aromatic hybrid with a complex terpene blend. The fragrance opens with earthy pine, sour citrus, and diesel, followed by subtle undertones of sweet chocolate, wild berries, and cookie dough. When smoked or vaped, the flavor transforms—notes of sandalwood, coffee, and musky hash mingle with a lingering diesel-chocolate finish. The strain leaves a pungent petrol and sour apple scent in the air, while handling the buds releases that unmistakable Glue funk on your fingers. GG4’s bold, layered taste is heavy on the palate and absolutely unforgettable.

GG4 Terpenes

The terpene profile of Gorilla Glue 4 is dominated by caryophyllene, myrcene, humulene, limonene, and pinene. These compounds create GG4’s unique aroma while delivering its signature body-relaxing and mind-euphoric effects. Caryophyllene contributes to the peppery diesel bite, myrcene provides a sedative body calm, and limonene adds subtle citrus brightness. Combined, these terpenes amplify the strain’s famous “stuck to the couch” tranquility while keeping the overall mood warm and carefree.

Effects

Gorilla Glue Seeds produce an incredibly potent experience that hits both mind and body with full force. The initial high from GG4 is fast-acting—an uplifting, euphoric wave that melts stress and sparks giggles before evolving into a deep, tranquil relaxation. Expect a heavy, sedating stone lasting up to four hours. This hybrid is often described as calm yet cosmic: mentally soothing, physically numbing, and perfect for ending the day. Users describe Gorilla Glue weed as deeply calming and body-heavy, with a potent, long-lasting relaxation. It’s a full-spectrum indica-leaning experience that defines modern high-THC comfort.

Growing Gorilla Glue Seeds

Gorilla Glue #4 Seeds are prized by cultivators for their vigorous growth, pest resistance, and resin production. GG4 plants are relatively easy to manage and thrive in most conditions, performing equally well indoors and outdoors. The strain’s flowering time is 60–70 days indoors, with outdoor harvests ready by mid-October. Yields average around 500 g/m² (17 oz/plant) indoors and up to 600 g (21 oz/plant) outdoors. Because of its balanced, even canopy, GG4 excels in SCROG or SOG setups. Heavy colas benefit from trellising or light support to handle their bulk. Outdoors, the abundant resin acts as a natural insect and water repellent, helping plants resist mold and mildew. For any grower seeking dense, THC-packed buds that glisten with gluey trichomes, Gorilla Glue #4 is a must-grow.
